I couldn't stop myself. Now I'm hoping Far Cry 3 can be had at the same price....

I was surprised to see Assassin's Creed 3 on there. And Sins of a Solar empire Rebellion is a cool game. A really fun space RTS.

Whelp....Far Cry 3 for $37.50 (-25%) is up......and so is Mark of the Ninja for $7.50 (-50%)....do I bite and assume this is the cheapest they'll be for a few months?

I'd say FC3 is worth that price, one of the few free-roam games that doesn't sacrifice everything to just bring that e.g. it has a good story as well as a huge game world to explore with lots to do. Though I imagine it could go cheaper perhaps in an Easter sale. Fantastic game though, it'll keep you busy for a while.

But Mark of the Ninja is an absolutely brilliant game and is well worth that price. I feel like I want to donate more money to the dev it was so good. Can't sing that game's praise enough, so simple and yet done with more finesse and style than almost any other title. One of the best 2D games I've ever played. Great art style too, the cutscenes are animated like an old-school cartoon.

So if you like stealth games, can't do much better than Mark of the Ninja. It's sat on a 91/100 on Metacritic so people agree. Pretty amazing for a little Indie game.

I've been wanting to try MotN for awhile, but hearing people praise it has kinda jarred me. Whenever I hear something so absolute as "Let it stand as the benchmark by which all stealth games are now measured."(10/10 - Destructoid), my "Really?" B.S. detector goes off like wild. But I think I'm ready to just ignore one single review and acknowledge all the other positive praises from both players and reviewers alike and try it!

[EDIT]
I am so weak. Gaben had his way with me this Steam sale:

Just got I am Alive today, it's the only game I'm really interested in this entire sale, hopefully it's somewhat enjoyable.

It seems like one of those C+ games that you'll play once just to experience it and then never again. Like a proof-of-concept game. Worth $5, in my mind. I got it too awhile ago.

I've played quite a few games that people considered meh and kept playing them non stop. So I guess I will see when I finish downloading it.

People hated Vanquish and God Hand for example and I loved the shit out of those games.

I feel loved. My wallet, on the other hand, feels abused. I've gotten a pretty big haul this sale.

Dishonored for $29.99 (-50%). I want, but it's been out for awhile...so maybe I can just play the games I bought and wait for a mid-week, daily, or weekend deal in Feb/March? Then again, it is a Bethesda game and they seem to never go on sale on Steam unless it's a seasonal sale. What say you KOS?

Also...I see Spec Ops: The Line on Amazon (Steam DRM) for $7.49 and I've heard some good word of mouth on that as well...

Also, the URL for Spec Ops says 'BOOBS n TITS' so the internet has given is an overwhelming positive review: http://amzn.com/B0085NTITS

[EDIT] I got Spec Ops. I like Boobs n Tits, so this was obviously the game for me.

I'll just say I bought Dishonored for full price and the only thing I regretted was not actually pre-ordering it and having to wait a few days to play it, it's that good; The Walking Dead wins my story game of the year but for actual gameplay Dishonored takes the trophy. Definitely a game you can't pass up on if you like assassin-stealth games. I love the non-linear, 'approach this any way you like' kind of thing Dishonored does, with all the different powers.

3 thumbs up from me. Spec Ops is great too, amazing storyline. Really is quite strong.
