The low quality of that picture is actually a result of someone accidentally turning the speed settings knob when I handed it to him. I didn't notice until the next day, so the pics I took after that kinda sucked. But I am buying a new camera and camcorder next month, as both of mine (while decent) are pretty old.

This is the still camera I want:
Canon SX40 HS It's basically the evolution of the one I already have (which dates back to 2005!) Digital SLR is also very appealing, but I don't have the time to learn about different lenses and stuff, so this one should get the job done. Still need to pick a digital camcorder. Basically it needs massive optical zoom, stereo mic, great battery life, and no major downfalls. Will probably spend about the same amount as on the still camera. |

Nice camera. Although I absolutely suck with SLRs. Had the panasonic G2, even after a year of screwing with it my brain just wouldnt click.

He did also mention that they try new ideas all the time and scrap ones that don't work - basically, 4 out of 5 prototypes they develop end up getting tossed because they're not special enough in action. It's a good idea that I think a lot of developers couldn't really afford to do. Also, Ben got me into a VIP lunch for panelists with super nice food and wine, and then all of us received free backpacks filled with goodies afterward. So that was pretty rad. |

You're only defending them because of a free lunch and free stuff. Your opinions are biased! I call sellout! Give me free things!
