I have read part of his self-autobiography, He actually is a very morbid guy with a strong sense of horror and foreboding. A slight claustrophobic portrait.
To be honest I would like to watch some of his more classic work. He comes across as quite necrophilic to me. He comes across as like 950 Years old seeing as history progresses 1000 times faster. Very old fashioned acting style that still works great 65 years later

Yeah, thats completely not how I saw things when I read it. He's extremely intelligent, has a dry whit like most british of his time. I mean the classic english soldiers at a war pausing to drink tea, thats totally him.

I don't believe in stereotypes, I'm weird like that, I can't remember the title of his bio I read, just remembered is was a red cover.
I'm sure he is a dignified chappie in spots, but he is openly morbid without trying to be. That part is enigmatic, where does it come from? I find it unsettling. he is soaked with truth.....and then some. What can I say? He is a man that can summon a certain spirit.

Totally true. His presence is palpable. ![]() I got it signed by him and he even wrote my name and a little message. Just wish I could of picked it up in person. Kills me that I'll never get to meet him yet been a fan since the early 80s. |
