I think next gen will be a mix of 1080p 30fps and 60fps, depending on the game. You won't see the dominance of 720p like you do now. There might even be some games that render below 1080p, but above 720p, most likely Bungie games because they like to cheat.

30fps doesn't necessarily bother me unless it's a driving game.

It should be good for Microsoft to go next gen. I mean games in 360i just dont look too well by todays standards, when they go to Xbox 720 it will be an improvement, but it still wont stack up to PS3 which does 1080. *shrug* Maybe M$ will finally win when they release the Xbox 1440.

I also played 1080 snowboarding on N64, I think that was false advertisement it didnt look 1080 whatsoever, the sequel on the Gamecube looked better but also didnt look 1080 imhofwiwafaik.

It'll be Kinect focused and also focused on demand services for the 360.

What the hell is 360i? There's no such video standard. There's 240p, 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. That's not counting the PAL nonsense.

Windows Phone would likely be mentioned only in passing - they keep the E3 conference focused on Xbox 360 most, if not all of the time. It wouldn't be a bad idea for them to tout Windows 8's gaming features, but I wonder if they actually will.

I guess this will be Nintendo's show then.

Granted MS could be putting up a false front in order to surprise everybody, or word might come down from the top to show something if it seems like Nintendo is running away with the show. They know that their installed user-base won't be leaving anytime soon, regardless of what happens at E3. They better not disappoint.

I don't think we'll see too many new games outside of Forza and Halo though.

Windows 8....I hope it allows me to dismiss the whole metro look for something more 'traditional,' if you can call the W7 look traditional.
