Sony E3 2012 discussion
Won't be attending Sony's conference, but I have the feeling it will be the most exciting of the big 3 conferences this year. Sony is more interested in creating exclusive titles for the core market, which is more fun to read about than family stuff or a potentially unexciting WiiU.
Here's a nice industry speculation article: Sony at E3: What to Expect |

"Potentially unexciting Wii U"? The PS3 hasn't exactly been the epitome of excitement.

We'll definitely not be getting any big announcements from them this year, with the Vita chugging along as is and their "10 year life cycle" for the PS3 still drumming around. I'd love to be proved wrong but doubt I will be.

Sony will show their 1st party titles and run with those. That has been their greatest strength this gen, and really nobody actually cared. The ps3 waggle thingies are pretty much paper weights and serve no purpose, so I figure they show games like the Last of Us and other games that they have exclusively for ps3. Like microsoft, Sony benefits from draggin this gen out a bit longer.

I hope they announce the PS4 and stop beeing dumb with hardware like they were with the Vita.
I really enjoy my 3DS, and i have enjoyed my Gamecube back in the day, but i really dont like nintendo home consoles that much because im not a huge fan of them. I only like Zelda a bit and Fire emblem. Though i guess thats more than Sony and microsoft have that i like... microsoft nothing and Sony.. hmm.. i guess i'd like uncharted and MGS if its still exclusive to them. I miss the days of SEGA first party... the good games just poped up all the time.

Next gen hardware would be nice, but with all do respect they can still pump out heavy hitting graphics on the PS3. Why risk going further in debt? I never enjoyed handhelds (barely use them) but seeing more for the Vita would interest me more into getting one. Right now, I know it would just sit around.

I guess the older the system becomes the harder it is to keep float for some reason? I would think more systems in homes = more games being sold = more royalties going to Nintendo, M$ and $ony. |

I hope we see Ni No Kuni (probably not), Last Guardian (nope) and a couple of surprised for both PS3 and Vita.

Sony brings out Quantic Dreams' new game first. David Cage on stage. Formally introduces 'Beyond.'
-PS All Stars: Battle Royal. PS3 and Vita. Look very much like Smash Bros...right down to the graphical style and background art. Also, like Smash, characters spin in the air when hit. It's virtually a carbon copy of gameplay and graphics. :/ Two new characters announced: Nathan Drake (no big surprise there) and Big Daddy. -Sony gives away 1 free year of Playstation Plus to all the people in the audiences. Tretton is Oprah.
