Face/Off is good.
I've been hearing that the 'The Thing' remake is good. Need to see it for myself. But I trust those whom I've heard it from. |

The best part of Face Off is when the credits roll.
Edit: The Thing remake is fucking horrible, anyone who told you it is good never saw the original. They essentially took the already clearly defined backstory of the first, fucked it to hell and said "you know the the scenes where the thing gets caught shifting between people? Lets just make it like that the whole damn movie." So you end up with an extended backstory and a terrible cgi monster for a hour and a half. Every single reason the first one is amazing was left on the floor for that one. |

If you're happy when the credits roll, that is a good sign
And yes, like I said I have to see it for myself. I have seen the original and probably can't appreciate it as much as I wasn't old enough(wasn't even born) to view it when it was released back then. But I will still be able to make the comparison. |

Ya I didn't see the original myself right when it came out, but many years later. Its the complete lack of understanding what made the original good that made the new one bad. Unless you are huge fan of formulaic horror movies that heavily relies on cg over well thought out suspense, you'll think the original is better too.

Watching this, its pretty good. Makes me want to watch them all over again. Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt is on par with 007, but I think Daniel Craig makes him that way by today's standards.
Either way I like it. Plus; if we don't get another bond film soon I'll seriously re-watch all the MIs. Edit: I was wrong; 007 Skyfall is November this year. Shows how much I pay attention to movies these days. http://www.skyfall-movie.com/

That one Mission Impossible directed by John Woo was just dreadful. Too much slow motion. Not a big John Woo fan. The first and 3rd aren't bad. This one's not bad.

I liked MIP2. If you really think that the slow mo is too much in that movie, then you probably haven't seen that many of Zack Snyder's movies.
