Holding a steering wheel mid-air works sooo well. Tried it once on Mario Kart Wii. Never again.

It will never see the light of day, at least not in that form. I'm taken aback that Sony hasn't already copied Nintendo's Wii U controller seeing as they've shamelessly copied everything else. Guess it's only a matter of time.

This is so impractical that I'd wager it was patented moreso for the features it has (that Sony now owns patents for), rather than any real use for the next generation.
Think of it as a creative cockblock to the competitors.

Which is why I prefer the original steering wheel design that goes on your lap.

I only ever used steering wheels that could clamp onto the desk or something. I hate them just on your lap or in your hands. I did the same for when I had a joystick for flight games, nothing's worse than doing a sharp turn and having the thing move. It's annoying.

Have you guys tried the wheel stand pro? Heard some great things about it, and it's pretty sturdy too. And it folds under your bed/sofa when not in use.
