Kickstarter: The Banner Saga
Definitely sounds like a game I'd play. Also looks super lush. Its a shame more people havent bought into it. Some fairly solid people involved in its making.

This is pretty cool. Because of the amount they've made they put up a new update saying $50 donations get you all 3 chapters of the game instead of just the 1. Very awesome. They didnt even need to do that.

I do not understand that slightly shorter term you want to use.

How does this kill pc gaming? It puts the power directly the devs, as long as contributors don't behave like publishers, should be fine.

I feel like the recent "PC master race" stuff, while making us all look like elitist pricks, has also cemented the PC as the hardcore gamer's platform of choice, which it always has been really.

We're not elitist. We're just smarter then the average console gamer. We dont need our hands held all through games or constant action to distract our ADD. Its like the movies. Console gamers would be Michael Bay Transformer fans. PC gamers would be Ridley Scotts Blade Runner.
Also halo sucks.

"It's a beautifully hand-drawn, animated adventure with turn-based tactical strategy set in a post-apocalyptic Viking world. If you didn't start throwing your money at the screen six words into that last sentence, then you're either completely dead inside, or else you enjoy things that are different from the things that I enjoy, in which case you are dead to me." - Cracked
lol!!!

I think I saw this awhile back being covered on indierpgs.com. It certainly has an interesting visual flair, much different than the norm.
Alucard, your analogy is pretty much spot-on, at least so far as the general console gaming public is concerned. But we're not all fans of Michael Bay's Transofrmers, ya know. Some of us appreciate quality just as much as you do.
