I don't get it. I mean that's great and all but how does this help them as a company? I can't imagine the publicity would be worth more than what they loose but maybe I'm wrong. Awesome though.

GoG are always handing out free games. And CDProjekt just rock to begin with. Thats their only reasons for doing it.

If anyone grabs Fallout 1 just remember theres a few mods out there that make it better. Like fan patches to fix bugs that the official patch never fixed. A resolution patch to up it a little, and a few other things. Heres the link for a few of them. Best to read what you're installing before you install it.

Sweet. I'm replaying fallout 1 now on a melee/unarmed character. 1 and 2 are amazing games. 3 really disappointed me.

CD Projekt also announced that every copy of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition includes a complimentary, DRM-free backup copy at GOG.com, regardless of where the game is actually purchased. Said backups also include any extras that may have been included with whatever version of Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition you purchased, such as art books and soundtracks.

This is why GoG.com always gets my money for games if there is a choice between other services.

I bought Witcher 2 from there instead of steam just for the fact that I can back it up, but now it looks like it didn't matter But I rather give them my cash directly.

This here is a company that proves that if you ask nicely to not pirate their versions, they won't. Sometimes honesty is the best policy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the indie devs actually take over the video game crowd in the future. They seem to know what people want and it's working. Most of the games I've been playing have been indie games lately.

That would be my ideal future. How it used to be in the 80s and early 90s before the publishers took full control of creativity.

I doubt anyone is playing Fallout 1 here, but just in case I wanted to link this awesome mod that replaces all the unofficial patches and other essential mods and puts it into one package. For Fallout, this is all you need. Worth it for the npc move commands alone, so you can have a party without them blocking your way (if you've played the original fallout with a party, you know what I mean).

Already finished it and now playing Fallout 2. Thanks for this though, definitely going to replay it with this mod.

Fallout 1 was awesome. 2 is beyond godly. 3 is snore. Just make sure to use the mods for the first two to fix issues or put back in deleted content.
