Best way to practice BF3 flying

right i have just picked up a Speed Link Black Widow flight stick for my PC. I want to use it on BF3.

Problem is i want to practice and obviously offline as you need to go online to jump into a chopper or plane ..

any advice on how best to practice, other game etc which will enable me to learn the controls? im thinking a bit of time with MS Flight Sim X

Just use the filter settings and search for empty servers, there's plenty, I practice flying all the time in empty servers.

edit: oh, nvm, guess I should have read the thread first lul

I never practised before just going into the multiplayer and flying them; they're piss easy to fly, probably because console players would struggle if they weren't. With a control stick they'd be even easier most likely. You'll probably pick it up in one flight.

I'd give you mine but playing with people overseas is a waste of time.

Depends on connection. I play with my Australian friends without much lag. Just make sure you play on an Aussie server, we usually have better Internet and so it's easier to connect.

And mine is... something. I'll tell you when I'm home.
