I've downloaded the demo from Japan PlayStation Store. It's like playing cubic puzzle with ero-horror theme Apparently, my expectations were too high for their first HD game.

Not sure if this title gonna are still at my buying list anymore. At least day-1 buy is not gonna happen.

Well I'm glad it isn't some stupid RPG, actually my interest peaked when i saw puzzles and some sort of scoresystem.
Seriously did anybody expect an megaten game? The title didn't had anything to do, and the first videos made me guess at some kind of horror, at least not an rpg. It's been a while since Maken X/Shao and I really want to see Kaneko crank out more game that aren't megaten or rpg's under his art direction.

I think it looks fun. And Maken X was absolutely wonderful, not that the gameplay is similar.

Perhaps if Catherine does well, it'll fund a real MegaTen game.

I like Maken X, but preferred Maken Shao - such a shame that version didn't get released in NA.

I'll play it. Looks like a fun fantasy/murder mystery game.

Catherine's official website links to Amazon pre-order listings, which suggest the game is coming July 26, 2011, though that release date has not been confirmed.

Catherine is coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

That's great news, Saved! I hope they don't censor it when they bring it over.

For those of you that are like me and watching this game, it comes out on the the 26th of July. IGN just reviewed it:

This isn’t a game just for puzzle fans or just for those who love anime. This is a game that melds so much together and is so different than anything else on the market that it’s for just about anyone who really loves games.
Received a 9.0 and Editor's Choice. The demo is up on XBL and PSN if you want to check it out. I really enjoyed it, but a lot of comments I have read are of people who really don't enjoy it. I think those who went from wanting it to not wanting it are those people who got caught up in the initial advertising of the game and expected a game that borderlines porno, but that is not here and the game has zero nudity. I thought the demo was really awesome and sided with IGN regarding the comments that it is very different from anything else which makes it very welcome. Look forward to playing it in full.

It sounds like the game is super hard. I really want to like it, so hopefully it won't prove too frustrating.

It's on the PS3/XB360 what were people expecting exactly LOL. As it hasn't been announced for Europe yet (though I'm sure it will) i'm importing the PS3 version.
