I started arguing with these idiots on a Tekken 6 match Video. (I'm trying to learn Bob)

and we start going at it because I think Tekken is superior I DO go out of my way to explain I enjoy Virtua Fighter too and Have all the installments (but 3 arcade since Model 3 isn't emulated yet)

I explain to them VF's creators like Tekken and that they'd like to do a cross over.

they debunk it with false info

They block out that Sega and Namco did co promotion on VF 5 and Tekken 5.

I love most fighting games not called Arcana Heart and Samurai Shodown V. Virtua Fighter is fantastic I just think it lacks personality which both Tekken and DOA have in spades.

I have never seen any fanboyism like this EVER.

Trying to argue one game series is better than another is a pointless discussion for people who cannot grasp the concept of what Tastes are.

"Gamers" especially never seem to understand the concept. I like using fruit as an analogy. Imagine if your favorite fruit was strawberries and you actually tried to argue/debate/PROVE to someone that having cherries as their favorite was wrong? Like I said I like Both games and I give my honest opinion on both.

Console wars are one thing. Who else misses the Monday Night wars? But this kind of fanboyism? BLAH.

Those were good matches. Homestay is one the greats this generation. Tekken I will say has come a long way from its previous installments. More and more the game is looking more coherent to me and the nitaku game reminds me of VF. More and more this game is transforming. A lot of fast blocking in this game Tekken 6 is getting there.

I will say Namco does a fantastic job in supporting their community and Sega could definitely learn something from them. I myself am a Vf player always have been and sega has been absent in our scene for years, honestly they have never been there for us the way namco has for their community. After 10+ years we are still grassroots. Our only major outing was Evo 04. Now we are down to bi-weekly VF5 Socal gatherings at plague's. Darn.

I like Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter... hell I even like Dead or Alive and those ARC games. I like most fighting games, though the ones from SNK are kind of boring to me, but I can still have some fun with them. I own 3 or 4 of them for my Neo Geo.
