Innitial batch of reviews are positive (4 magazine reviews averaging 88%). Probably won't make GOTY, but I've been waiting for a game of this style since Severence: Blade of Darkness. Hope it sells well, gets a lot of mods and the developer expands on the design/technology a lot.

Just remember the limited edition has bonus stuff like 4 extra weapons etc. I'm sure they will be up for download in an unofficialy torrent patch ololol but I dont see anything yet. I'm waiting till the fucking 2nd for it to come in because the shipment got delayed for Australia. Its not a console game so it wont be here 1 week earlier then release date. Oh no. Fucking..argh.

limited or "special" editions are fine if they just include a bunch of extra crap, but when the game is actually better that's just bullshit. i won't buy any game that has a "superior" limited version just out of principle.

The chapter 3 chase scene was so fun. I wish it was harder though.

The limited edition has extra stuff like a music cd etc. All I know is the limited version is cheaper then a normal priced game. So no bitching.

Does this game have the large outdoor forested enviroments like Oblivion? I'm a big fan of that but didn't really see it one way or the other in the trailer.

This game isnt made in that style. Elder Scrolls games have always been about creating living breathing worlds. Dark Messiah is heavy on narrative. Its a classic D&D style game so there will be more indoor areas.

Ahh. Country boy that I am I love the wide open spaces and lots of vegitation. Still looks very cool though. This will probably be the first game I play if I ever upgrade.

No Thief thanks to eidos. And if you want open spaces then go pickup Gothic 3. Another cool series like Oblivion.
