Ummm, who voted for X-men vs Street Fighter...
And Snk VS Capcom is not a Street fighter game... Not to be a smart ass dude, im just saying. I voted for 3rd Strike, but my real vote goes to Street Fighter Alpha 2. Its much more balanced that Alpha 3, the backrounds are prettier, the production is of higher quality, and the gameplay is tighter IMO than 3. A part of it too is that Alpha 2 is what started my obsession with Capcom and SF in the first place. I bought it for Saturn because my EGM gave it such high scores, and I've loved it since. Its wierd, after I had bought it and played it for a while, my sisters boyfriend (who was 18, I was only 14) was an expert SF player, and taught me everything i know about the game. He gave me his Vs books Strat guide, which I still have (even the poster it came with!)...my sister ended up dumping him because she complained, evertime he came over all he did was play Alpha 2 with me. Since then I've travelled to Sunny Vale cali's golfland twice, where I was actually able to hold my own, sorta. Those guys are fu cking amazing down there, christ. But anyways, thats the story. 3rd Strike is probably the best overall 2d fighter, though... |

i think that most of the characters in 3rd strike suck.
i think capcom vs. SNK is one of the best 2-d fighters around. |

I voted SFII:Turbo, but I really mean SFII SCE for MD. It was the one I played the most. I really got used to the button setup (6 button pad) and never got used to the 4 button + L+R again...

The real list should be:
Street Fighter 2 world Street Fighter 2 champion Street Fighter 2 turbo Super Street Fighter 2 Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo Super Street Fighter 2 X: Grand Master Challenge Street Fighter Alpha Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter Alpha 3 Three: New Generation of Street Fighters Street Fighter 3: Second Impact Giant attack Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Fight for the Future Capcom Vs. SNK Capcom Vs. SNK2 Street Fighter EX plus Alpha Street Fighter EX 2 Street Fighter EX 3 I dont consider the Marvel Vs. games to be street fighter titles. It would be like counting Fighters Megamix in a poll for favorite Virtua Fighter game. Gameplay is too different...if you count Marvel games, you may as well count vampire, Final Fight Revenge, cyberbots... |

it was sort of hard, because I really dislike alot of the Street Fighter 3 Roster
but I picked Third Strike because I love the engine that damn much, that I was willing to overlook the fact that I hated alot of the characters |

I went for Marvel vs SF 2. That game was brilliant and had so many characters. Second fave would be Cap vs SNK 2.

Overall, the most enjoyment I had ever gotten out of a Street Fighter Title would be between Alpha 2 and the original SFII. They gave me the most enjoyment, even though I think that III is an improvement. And I don't hate the characters in it. What's wrong with them? Oh sure, characters like 12 and Q don't seem to belong, but so what?

Marvel v. Capcom 2 for me! But Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers come close for me. Shoulda stopped the "2" crap after that one.

Street Fighter games
Sorry it took me so long to reply to the poll & posts, couldn't log in. But Anyways here are all my replys:
To: Smirnof-X - onlu 10 games could fit so I used the most up to date ones and I used marvel vs capcom games cause capcom used 80%-90% of street fighter characters. No EX games cuz they are 3D & are also bad. My vote was X-men vs. street fighter because I played it in my malls arcade all the time. But I love all of the ones listed & own them or own copies of them. |

I think the 3 cast is great too. The worst designs are probably Oro, Elena and Q. I think twelve is awesome, his animation is incredible. Yun and Yang rock, Alex is very cool (in third strike, with his boston accent, not his michael jackson voice in the first two games)... Remy is arguably an Iori rip, but I think he looks more like the lead singer from Juliana Theory. Even Necro is ok (hes fun to use...definately weird, but noone complained about Dhalsim in the OG sf2.)

Street Fighter Alpha 2 was the best one, great and interesting balanced character line-up. Not too complicated combo/parry system, but enough to add a little more strategy to the game.
Capcom try too much with Alpha 3 for my sake. If I want air-combo in a fighting game, I would play Marlve vs Capcom or something. Street Fighter 3 :Third Strike had a really nice parry system. But the unbalanced character really break the game down. Not to mention that half of the characters was uninspiring (something I still don't understand coming from Capcom) |
