Kadokawa buy ASCII: Dengeki and Famitsu under the same roof 15:48
Yesterday, Kadokawa Shoten announced their purchase of ASCII, and with it Enterbrain, publishers of Famitsu. Kadokawa are already the principal owners of Mediaworks, the publisher of Dengeki magazines, so with this move they become the strongest company in game media.

The president of Kadokawa commented, "The industry's number one brand, "Famitsu", will continue to exist." To emphasise the difference between the two brands, they will use one for general publications and the other for "Mania" publications. Costs will also be cut by combining distribution and storage.
