Xseed Games sent us an e-mail saying they are unable to publish Grand Knights History. Development resources to localize the game are not available, so Xseed had to cancel the title. We hear Vanillware is putting all of their energy into completing Dragon’s Crown, which Atlus’ acquired the rights to from Ignition.

Xseed’s 2012 lineup includes Unchained Blades, Way of the Samurai 4, Ys Origin, and The Last Story.

Even though the game is fully translated, Vanillaware are to busy to program it into the game so Xseed can't release it period.

Pretty bummed out about this. Good thing I didn't do a pre-order with Amazon. Dag nabbit...guess I'll see if the english patch is any good.

The blame isn't really on them companies like Xseed, Nippon Ichi US and Askys don't have any programmers I hear. They do the translations and then the Japanese companies program it into the game but Vanillaware are too busy with DC so they say.

Bah...the english patch is pretty incomplete. Forget it...I'll rather wait for an english release than to play the game all fracked up. Wonder why Atlus didn't pick this title up?

I can answer that it's because the game is published by Marvelous in Japan and Xseed are partly owned by them and therefore get first dibs.

Since the translation is already done I guess there is a small chance Rising Star could still do the Europe version but who knows I guess they'll make an annoucement later.

The translation is only a small part of the process, whatelse can a small company do when there depend on the Japanese companies to do there part.

I don't get it...why was Rising Star Games able to get the EU version to be released, but Xseed failed?

At least the EU version will be available...I'm coo with that.
