Would be so awesome if these came out, worked exactly as it looked like in the video, and didnt cost a billion to keep running. Watch how you stand there for a while waiting for the info to download.

What's more, the Times says that none other than Sergey Brin is a "key leader" on the project, with another being Google engineer Steve Lee, the creator of Latitude. Notably, Bilton also says that Google sees the project as an "experiment that anyone will be able to join," and that the company is not currently thinking about potential business models for the glasses, which could suggest that they may be more of a small-scale hobby than part of a major push into consumer hardware.

Every "new" technology is merely a homogeneous composite of older tech, be it visual, audio, conversing, et al. New window-dressing, same old stuff. Don't care one bit.

I think that demo was actually pretty bad. It made the thing seem like nothing more than a camera fitted into a pair of glasses.

Yeah with an instant messenger that makes you feel like you're hallucinating. It looks more annoying than anything else. Might be an idea for people sentenced to house arrest though.
