Dubbed Tales of Xillia, the game marks the 15th anniversary of the Tales series and is a "RPG of flickering conviction".

It features character designs by Kosuke Fujishima and Mutsumi Inomata.

The game follows the adventures of Shuto Matis, a medical student, and Mira, a woman able to control the four elements (earth, wind, fire and water).

Back in early August, concept art was shown for the then-untitled Tales of Xillia. Check out the link below for more Xillia footage of giant eyes and tiny noses.

The game will be released on the PS3 in Japan next year.

Not trying to be a negative nancy, but it's hard to get excited about tales games anymore since they never get localized.

There has been one main Tales of game released since the last one was released in US that's hardly never. Since this one is on the PS3 from the start hopefully it'll come over on the PS3/XB360 WHEN it's released in America.

I'd love them to comissioned Ayumi Hamasaki to do a English version of the opening song aswell like they did with Bonnie Pink (Vesperia).

Perhaps I am just overreacting over recent events.

After Vesperia PS3 and Graces didn't come I kinda figured the Tales series was done coming to the US.

I was convinced Tales of Graces PS3 would come over... thats seriously fail. Wasnt it even on E3 this year?!

Anyways the reason why i dont get excited about this title is the fact that the tales studio seems to have a death wish and made the same mistake they did with Tales of Legendia.
Melee fighter main characters just arent fun to play as. For that alone im put off from this game.

Ironically Legendia is my second fav. Tales of after Abyss. So much story was put into that game every character had a whole chapter asigned to them.

I had real trouble playing Legendia. Everything just felt off to me, including the character interaction. But Abyss is brilliant. Easily my favourite Tales game ever. And one of the best rpgs this decade for consoles. I'd have it in my top 3.
