It was confirmed a long time ago that it would be part of the Anthology.
This is what I like to call a proper anthology, not that garbage like SF Anniversary was. Ill be getting this game once i have money agian. |

I have played it on PS2 and 6 is the worst slug imo (I love em all except 3).
I thought maybe it was just me so I went for a 2p run with my sister (not telling her my opinion) and she came to the same conclusion pretty quick. Then my bro game for a visit and I pulled the same thing and he too got bored as heck a few stages in. I have put countless hours into the series and was sorely dissappointed. Some of the things I liked: - You can use Ralf and Clark (have some of their moves like the Argentina Back Breaker) - Characters are now unique (Ralf takes two hits to die, for instance) - You can carry two weapons at a time now Played this game thrice and feel no urge to go back whatsoever. |

MS2 is my favorite then.
I dunno, there is just something about that last boss battle. The way it all plays out, the way your once enemies now help you agianst a greater enemy, and the music that plays while its all going on is very epic to me, even if it is just 2D sprites. |

I beg to differ there friend, 3D models have a long ways to go before they become nearly as expressive as 2D ones.
MS1 and 2 are my faves. |

Part 3. And yeah, that one is hard as hell. Long too. But you got to love part 3 for having multiple branches through out every level.

Yeah 3 definitely wasn't my cup of tea, I have almost zero liking for aliens and zombies as a whole and the game was pretty much centred around that. The last stage was way too long and tedious. The path branching was neat but a lot of the areas I didn't like so I ended up going the same route most of the time. Oh and I hate it for going away from the WW2 feel.
I loved 4, its kinda like the KOF2k1 of Metal Slug, not very sexy but fun as hell. It has one hell of a soundtrack too. The way I rate em: 1/2 4/5 X 3 6 Quote:

well unfortuantly SNK did add Wii controls schemes to it, but most of them are pretty dumb.
http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/7101 Dont get me wrong though, it still has classic controls which is what I enjoyed the first 5 on. And the holding remote sideways scheme and just shaking to use a bomb looks almost dooable. I was just hoping for a setup where you could aim up or down by pointing a cursor in the direction you wanted to shoot. |
