New 360 console repair policy at 1-800-4my-xbox

If your console was manufactured before January 1'st 06 you can get it fixed for free right now. I just called them after reading a rumor on a clan forum I go to and it's true. My shipping box will be here in about 4 days and all for free. So if yours died like mine and you got it last year now is your chance to get it fixed free of charge.

They must have been under great pressure from consumers. It's isn't the consumers fault they purchased shoddy machines.
It must be a huge sigh of relief for you though. I remember you saying you weren't going to pay the money Microsoft wanted for repairs.

Yeah and I stuck by it too. I love my 360 but it's been sitting idle for a couple weeks. This is a godsend for me though. I do love my 360 I just don't want to tack another 140 bucks to the sticker price. I will pay for an extended warrenty when I get it back though.

So they won't send you a new one first, you must send the old one back? I have the launch day xbox 360 and have no problem but I figure I should get the newer 360 with the faster processor,

I thought the newer ones had 45nm and a 1 year warranty.

What the heck. I swear this forum has more of this type of thing than any other I've ever been to.
