I always thought it'd be great if someone made a pirate simulation game. I remember playing one for the Genesis, but the technology didnt allow for a really immersive game. Well, it looks like someone's making my dream come true!
Bethesda, makers of Morrowind, are working on Sea Dogs II, a pirate adventure game. I had no idea about this game until the other day when I was flipping through the 'coming soon' pages of Ebgames.com, and it was there. I checked a few games sites and they didnt have any/much info. I was crestfallen, that is, until I found the official sites! http://seadogs2.bethsoft.com/ http://www.akella.com/seadogs2/ They have tons of info and screenshots, I highly recommend a peak. Here's a gameplay run down: Quote:

Argh, good find there Gabriel, you salty dog!
The game you are talking about on the Genesis is Pirates Gold, great game. I loged many an hour on the original Pirates on my Atari ST. Let's hope that Sea Dogs II is as seaworthy as Pirates Gold(argh...another bad pirate pun).

Good News for sure. Pirates was such a fun game, even though I didn't really get anywhere because it was on my friend's PC. But as long as I get to pillage and fight off scurvy, I'm happy with an adventure of piratey proportions.
[edit] I hope I can amass wenches too.

Liar! Everybody knows that ports are a clear indication of how a console will fare in the near future.
Unfortunately this can only mean on thing for the 'box... fire and brimstone.
