All those who doubt the DS's graphics=PWNED!!
Urban asphalt graphics look well beyond N64.That leaves me to wonder what the hell is namco doing with RR?Later down tha line i think we can see graphics that look like or very close to the dreamcast minus the wonderfull textures of the DC.
![]() this is pics from exibition of speed for DC,not to far ahead of urban asphalt...IMO ![]() anyone agree?

Well for a Dreamcast game it looks pretty poor. Not bad looking for a DS game though. I remember the N64 had a couple good looking racers. I think Lamborghini 64 was one of the top racers for it and it looked nice. I think another racer that was good featured some Volkswagen Beetles in it, I don't remember the title though.

It's certainly an improvement, but it's still doesn't look as good as the PSP version. It looks like a better looking N64 game, which isn't suprising.

That really doesn't seem anywhere beyond N64 quality to me. Face it, the DS has N64 quality graphics with lower resolution!

I don't rate graphics on shots alone (though if I did, I'd say they looked pretty good), but moreso on how they game looks while running.

I looks better then R-Racer. That's for sure. I found out today Nintendo is actually help making that game with Namco so maybe that's why it's so bad graphically.

I'm pretty sure that the DS is capable of surpassing N64 graphically, look at Metroid Hunters. It and the rest of the games are only the first generation software, beyond that they probably haven't been in development for all that long. Given time and the right tools, the possibily of seeing DC level graphics isn't completely out of the question.

Yeah, I read up on the game from IGN. I had not idea it was based from an N-Gage version. Kind of an enhanced port from what they were saying. Game runs at a steady 60 FPS, as does Spider-Man 2. Certainly looks quite nice too. I still think I'll end up getting Ridge Racer first, however. Depending on the kind of impressions I get from trying it out. 12 cars certainly beats 6.

I don't think anyone really doubted the DS's power, its only problem is textures, but when running at 30+ FPS it shouldn't matter that much. It's obvious that the DS can crank out more polygons than the 64 though, and games will look much much better in the next few generations.

LOL....Uhh, no.....those graphics didn't PWN me at all. I agree with Joe Redifer...graphically, the DS is a low-resolution n64.
