AMD's new $200 VR-Ready (~GTX 980) card

This is really awesome. While Nvidia seems to focus on the mid-to-high end market, AMD is seemingly looking at the low-to-mid(dish high) end market. I had a GTX 980, which I paid around $500 for during late 2014. It was a phenominal card that allowed me to break the 1440p barrier and play games at a higher resolution at 45+ fps.

16 months later, you can now get that same card (according to AMD) for less than half. If you're fine with sticking to 1080p, this is going to be a monster card in terms of value.

Of course, it's all contingent on what the benchmark says, but even the pessimist in me says that even if it's closer to a 970 than a 980, it's still a great, great value for a mid-high GPU that will rock most games at 1080p/60fps easily.

Games I'm hyped for
The Last of Us Part 2, RE2 Remake, The Last Night

Current Platforms:
PC (i7-7700K, 16GB, GTX 980Ti), Wii U, PS4
