Still no real need to get these, I always just buy older cards when they go on sale. Cheaper and work great still for what I play. Only need these if you are trying to go into 4k or higher, which I'm not.
I usually use video cards till they break or till they are so outdated nothing works on them anymore. My geforce 770 GTX still works great.
