IDE: Integrated/Intelligent Drive Electronics. The E in EIDE just stands for Enhanced. Its a newer and Faster version developed by Westerd Digital. I think all cables now are EIDE and most drives support it, kinda like the new standard. Im sure your drive can work with your IDE cable though. And if not, just buy a new one, its like 10 bucks.
