Addiction is measured only by the detrimental effects it has on your life. And addiction is not for fun but out of compulsion. Like if you game at the detriment of work responsibilities, personal hygiene or any other obligations. If you're able to function and don't feel a compulsive need to game it's not addiction.

They're throwing it all on the same heap but I think specifically MMO-players are at risk. MMO's are the only kind of game I can think of where you eg read about people who 'forgot' to feed their child(who subsequently died) b/c they couldn't stop playing.
