Our affiliate, GameCube Europe has received word from Xicat Interactive and Metro 3D's PR-Agency, Chaloner Associates. The information from them suggests that all the GameCube games under development by these two companies have been put "on hold" and are most likely going to stay that way. These are the announced titles that the companies are working on for GameCube: Top Angler, Armada 2, Jane's Attack Squadron, Gothic and Acceleration.

The PR agency mentions that all the games will still be released on the Xbox this year. GameCube Europe surmises that the titles have been paid to be Xbox exclusive by Microsoft. Being two small game companies, it is a conceivable scenario. More on this when it becomes available.

Gamecube Europe is doing the wild speculating as usual

even if the games are cancelled/put on hold for GC, doesn't necessarily mean that MS paid for excusivity, since some of them are still scheduled to appear on PS2

and none of those games are high profile enough to be paid for exclusivity, several are PC ports and the rest multiplatforms

Who cares?
We all know that these games were gonna be crap anyway.
I mean a fishing game, a mediocre PC game...
Who cares?
It's not like Capcom Cancelled RE0 or something...
Nobody was gonna buy these games anyway so they're better off cancelled.
