In a move that is about 3 years late, Sony has finally changed their stance on the popular music format, MP3, and will now support it in all of their portable music players....


Well....it's about time I guess. What was they waiting? To make a formate of their own and only use that?

Woo. and this means nothing as there will be no offical methods of adding media to a blank UMD disk.

The only reason why they're doing this is due to the new Walkman, which is trying to be an I-Pod killer.

Errr.... you know the PSP has a memory stick slot...you know you can put music there....and since its a type of flash media it will hardly burn energy right? And before you give me the whole "Well woopy doo i need to buy a memory stick!" 100% of all Sony products that use a memory stick come with one.

They can't get the system to a point where they can offically announce a price tag that won't make people vomit. You really think they're going to bump the price up another 40 dollars to include a memory stick? It ain't happening. Especially when sony can just sell it seperately and make more money that way.

It was nice to get a stick with my Camera. Sadly its going to cost me $100 to buy one twice it's size.

well it doesnt say that...but it hints at it...lets keep our fingers crossed..and hope they think of the consumers this time around
