Sounds boring / disappointing doesn't it? :( Basically it's just a compilation of all (and only) SF2 characters into one game.

HYPER ACTIVE - STREET FIGHTER II: ANNIVERSARY EDITION REVEALED

Play as Ken, Ken or indeed Ken

14:08 As part of the warm up to this week's Tokyo Game Show, Japanese giant Capcom has revealed new details on the new 15th anniversary edition of its enduring beat-'em-up classic Street Fighter II.

However Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, to give it its full and rather bloated title, won't be just a simple game-by-game compilation of all the different Street Fighter II characters and incarnations. It will pull them all into a single game where you can choose your Street Fighter II poison.

Although Hyper will use character graphics from the last version, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, you'll be able to pick and choose characters and abilities from any of the game's many incarnations, which include World Warriors, Champion Edition, Turbo, Super and Super Turbo editions.

If that doesn't fully satiate your Street Fighter II appetite, Hyper will also contain a gallery mode which will feature all the series' start and end sequences, full credits, extensive artwork and background on the games, plus an anime feature which was originally released way back in 1994.

There's also insider word that a separate Street Fighter II Strategy DVD is in the works, which will showcase all the special moves and combos to be found in the series.

Japanese Street Fighter II fans will have a chance to go Hyper on the PS2 before the year's out, but there's no word on a European release date at the moment. We'll be limbering up our thumbs in anticipation and bring you the latest news as it arrives.

Oh! Havent they overmilked that title already:confused:
This game is a joke! This should be an extra in the next installment of the series and not a full fledged game!

wtf? i didn't by all 5 sf2 versions to buy a sixth one! (probably still buy it anyways) damn, thought they'd make a new series between sf 2 and sf3, much like alpha was between sf1 and sf2.

Street Fighter 2 hasn't been around for 15 years. Street Fighter 1 has.

I don't know. Let's wait for more information before we judge Capcom here. I wouldn't be surprised to see an online component to it all.
