Just saw Christopher Nolan's Insomnia last night. He previously directed Memento. It's much more straight-forward than Memento, but don't let this dissuade you from seeing it, it's a great film!

saw it opening weekend a few weeks ago, and agree that it's a great film. pacino's character is great. a classmate of mine has seen the original and said it was good a few months ago before the u.s. version came out so now i want to go and see that.
hell, maybe i'll go rent it today.

on a tangent, i saw the original vanilla sky the last week (open your eyes or los something ojos) and have to say that vanilla sky is almost an exact copy of open your eyes. i hate it when they copy a film almost word for word. what's the point of making a new film then? i hope (and have read in reviews) that insomnia is different. looking forward to the norweigian version.

I haven't seen the original Insomnia either, but I'd like to, just to compare it. Pacino was classic Pacino. You gotta love it.

heh i loved Al Pacino in the movie but the movie had it's moments (all movies have their moments) but i thought that Memento was a better movie.

The story was ......okay i guess nothing too special though.

Dear Slim, I wrote but you still ain't callin
I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom
I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not-a got 'em
There probably was a problem at the post office or somethin
Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot 'em
but anyways; fuck it, what's been up? Man how's your daughter?
My girlfriend's pregnant too, I'm bout to be a father
If I have a daughter, guess what I'ma call her?
I'ma name her Bonnie
