Quagmire: OOOOhhh yeah!

We mentioned this game a while back -- now get the skinny on playing as Hef.

ARUSH Entertainment and Groove Games released a few details regarding a game that GamerFeed told you all about sometime ago, Playboy: The Mansion. This game is the first of its kind and will give gamers a chance to live like Hugh Hefner and build a Playboy empire.

"We were looking for a development team that could handle the enormity of creating a game that communicates the excitement and essence of the world- renowned Playboy brand and we found it in Cyberlore," said Jim Perkins, spokesman for ARUSH and Groove. "Their impressive creativity and development experience will make Playboy: The Mansion a true simulation of the Playboy lifestyle."

"We are using our extensive experience with simulation, strategy and role-playing games to make Playboy: The Mansion into a true-to-life replica of the Playboy lifestyle," said Joe Minton, President & CEO of Cyberlore. "Gamers will be given the chance to feel what it's like to walk in Hef's slippers."

As I mentioned, the object of the game is to build the Playboy magazine and the Playboy Mansion. Gamers will take on the person of Mr. Hefner, Playboy magazine owner and founder. As Hef, you will live the lifestyle of rubbing shoulders with stunning women and popular celebrities, and share the mystique of the mansion by hosting lavish parties. Crafty management of the social scene of your mansion will be a requirement to keep the business end of things thriving. Scoring hot celebrity interviews and arranging sexy photo shoots will be just some of the things the player will encounter in growing the empire.

Playboy: The Mansion Features:

A fully 3D environment with a dynamic camera. Zoom out and admire the majesty of each Mansion area or zoom in and view the excitement upclose. (HAHA! -DS)

Multiple Playboy estate areas, including the inside of the Mansion,Back Lawn, Pool and Grotto, Gym, Tennis Court, Zoo, Game House and Garage.

Hundreds of "Celebrities," including actors, athletes, authors, business executives, comedians, fashion designers, models, musicians, politicians and racecar drivers.

Campaign Mode -- A dozen missions that chronicle Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Mansion's rise to international fame.

Empire Mode -- Select your own goals (fame, circulation, guests, etc) and then work over a series of months or years to achieve them.

The Playboy Philosophy -- You're rewarded for living the good life, having a positive sexual attitude and promoting tolerance and individual freedom.

The game is slated for the PC and "console gaming systems" in 2004. It was not specified which systems the game will be released for.

Hmm...could this be the first AO game? I'm suprised this hasn't come up yet. I mean, you can call it art, but its hard to say it with a straight face when you know that people are gonna be zoomin in at the naughty bits. Who needs Fred Durst to your party when you have a slew of young women who would do "anything" just to expose themsleves in your mag?

BTW....when are they gonna show screenshots? :D

Considering its coming to consoles it'll have no nudity I'm fairly sure. Prolly just a big swimsuit thing. Besides, no point getting interested if theres no screenshots. I've seen heaps of those sort of adult PC games and every single one of them has horrible character models. Oh sure, this one could be different.

what is the point of a "playboy" game if it doesn't have nudity?

its like buying gt4 and not being able to drive the cars.

LOL, I see what yer sayin Alucard. This probably won't sell too well, save for the loneliest of the lonely. It'd be more sucessful as the newest Sims addon.

When I say heaps I dont mean I hoard them in my basement and play nothing but dozens of adult titles a day... hehehe.. I prolly seen a couple or so that are western.

Looks like they've said this game is going to be rated M and it may contain nudity. Never say never.

We're too immature for adult games right now. We are working on it though, honest. Were trying not to say boobies without laughing, or buttcrack without snickering. We got down bown eye and snatch trap last week thou. So I feel like we are comming along fine in our way to dealing with sex in a mature mannor...hehe...I said cu-...err nevermind.

Now you've done it. We'll be flooded with over concious parents who will blast us for using FILTHY words and now are sad to say they cannot come to this site anymore for fear of their children looking over their shoulders and learning rude words! Ofcourse they may be too busy to come look cause they're watching porn on tv while parents are busy.
