Auto Modellista For GC?

According to retailers Auto Modellista will be coming to the GC and Xbox!

Auto Modellista is the first ever 3D cel-shaded arcade racer to hit consoles. The game was originally released by Capcom exclusively for the PS2. However, news today suggests that the game is now headed for the Xbox and GC as well. The PS2 version of the game is an on-line racer that allows gamers to battle head to head in races that can involve as many as 8 people on-line. The game has also won many awards from some of the more well know game publications.

Today it was learned by browsing EB Games' release list that the game may be heading to both the Xbox and GameCube sometime this October. There has been no official word from Capcom on the matter. Strangely enough, Xicat Interactive, the games actual developer, is listed on the site as the Publisher instead of Capcom. No word on if this is a simple typo, or if some wheeling and dealing has gone on to get this game ported to the other systems.

Wow!!! Could it be possible for the GC to have 2 online games??

I would be happy have this in my GC collection and I would actually be able to open and use the broadband adaptor that I bought for my GC.

AM is a bad game. Turning is the worst thing ever. I hope Capcom address these issues.

I would only get it if it's improved. I say though because it's so bad it didn't sell well so that's why it's being ported.

it's prolly for the best if they can improve on the game. shame this one had to go down the way it did. i was actually looking foward to it before it started getting all the negative feedback.

It's funny that everyone complains about the control. My friend was part of the online beta testing for the PS2 and the first beta test had great controls. The cars were responsive and didn't fish tail while doing power slides. The second beta test disk was like a completely different game control wise. You couldn't go around a corner without almost spinning out and doing either a 180 or 360. It was like black and white. I wonder what happened.

If they do port it to the GC I would hope for better controls. But chances are it will be a straight port and nothing more.

I hope Capcom's learned their lessons about straight ports with no enhancements. (even though this isn't an old game, but what the hell) The game is a perfect minus the handling. Fix the handling and you'd just have a perfect game.
