With a 97, this is what I have to say from the review:

The Queen is Dead, Long live the King.

Now that maybe a confusing statment but bare with me, back four months ago Metroid Prime was crowned the Queen (remember Samus is a hottie under that suit) of the Cube... but now 4 months later, with the release of Nintendo's next Triple-A title, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the King is dead and a new Toonish Cel-shaded king has claimed the throne... Sorry Samus, maybe Prime 2 can reclaim that for ya. Here's the Low down and pro/cons of Wind Waker.

The Lowdown
A stunning video game that comes as close to perfection as any other.

Pros
Incredible design, balance, visuals, sound and gameplay; engrossing story; highly polished; superb controls; excellent learning curve; one of the finest games to date.

Cons (and some pretty nit picky cons I might add)
It's hard to find fault but some may dislike the Toon Shading; no widescreen mode; some aspects are a little repetitive; needs a GBA with link cable to get ALL the secrets.

Well there you have it folks, GameSpy give it there best score I've seen to date for any platform. Just goes to show all you idiots that think realistic looking graphics don't always=a good game... some times all you need is good old Game Play to get a near perfect score.

I'm surprised it scored higher than IGN. Is Gamespot review what I'm worried about now.

The GBA part is a pretty big Con if you ask me! i don't have a GBA yet, even if I did have 1, I don't think I would be able to get a GBA GC connection cable here in Egypt.

Gamespot says:

Difficulty: EASY

I don't like the sound of that. Since when Zelda games have been easy?

Perhaps they made it easy to play because a lot of people complaint the difficulty in Mario Sunshine? So they don't want people to have the same impression with Zelda?

Well thats only if you want to unlock all the secrets in the game, and that just a price you have to pay sometimes... and I'm sure somebody here on the forums would help you get a link cable, heck there only 10 bucks here in the US. It's not like your going to miss out on anything real big you know.

 How hard can it be to find a little peice of wire like that. Maybe you could get it from the same person that hooked you up with WW. Anyway, good luck with that.:D

You've got a point, the problem is I'd have to pay another $20 just to transfer the 10 to his account!! Maybe if I use Paypal to order the wire straight to his place... We'll see about that when I get a GBA!

When you come to think of it... it's a problem at all... OoT had the same issue with the Rumble Pak (Stone of Agony) remember! :big smile

Wasnt there a way around having the rumble pack?

I believe the game got a 9.6 from IGN.com and a 9.3 from Gamespot.com

As for Zelda: WW's diffiiculty, that isn't a problem. Many called Zelda OOT and Majora's Mask easy too. I find the new Zelda games to be very assesible to a large audeince, not a Luigi's Mansion cake walk.

Very pleased with all the reviews coming out. Hopefully this will persuade stubborn cel-haters to try the game out.

Thats true, the Stone of Agony was a big help finding some of those secret places but it's not like you couldn't enjoy the game without one.

It used was to find certain hidden ares. You didn't need it, and if you had a player's guide, they show where everything was.

I don't plan on using the Tingle thing until I play through the game at least once.;)

IMO, Majora's Mask was very dificult. The water temple took me days to beat, basicly the waves just get me running around in circles. Though I finally beat the game, got all the masks, including the Fierce Deity, which was something I regret using.

needs a GBA with link cable to get ALL the secrets.

This is bad because? ..Funny here we have Nintendo promoting their Cube-GBA connections..and here we have one gamesite (or a retarded reviewer) breaking that promotion. They must think to get that Cube/GBA connection wire must cost a fortune and it's not like a must have ..you won't miss an alternative ending/ or miss some kind of gallery or anything very special if you don't own a GBA or this "expensive" cable!

er... um.... they've never been "hard" (hardest being Link to the Past) esp. the N64 ones....

No, but they said "Medium" dificulty, not "Easy".
