Well I'm speechless... it sold less than 20 000 copies ( if it hasn't change). Anyone else disapointed?

I'm glad it bombed. Sega needs to stop porting games and profiting off from it. Super Monkey Ball series is the only few new stuff from them on GC currently, and it sold exceptionally.

Even though that's true Nintendo should have help them to promote the game so they can boost sales!

That wouldn't really work for SOAL, because not much people has intention of getting it in the first place. I'm suprised that Sonic Mega Collection is approaching 300,000 units sold in the US and its some old games, it could've have been released on GBA, and it would sold a lot more with those user base. Meh, look for another Sonic port to hit the GC this summer, follow by an all new title possibly for a Holiday release.

Why? It's a Sega game, they should promote it if they want it to sell.

Remake or not, if the game was advertised it would then sell. Its an awesome game and theres been quite a few cases of remakes on other systems that sold extremely well.

NPD chart which only collect sales to 31 Jan SOAL has only TWO DAYS in that chart as the game was released 30 JAN
acording to the chart 19700 copy were sold!

those are great numbers considering that this is a port to a two years old game and it was on a very easy sysem for pirates no mod chip needed,
and I also think Sega were surprised I don't think the first shipment was more than 20000, so it sold out in two days thats amazing IMO

I know I would have got it but I laugh at Sega for charging $50. I'll buy it when Best Buy has it for $30. The price a last gen port should cost. Even Nintendo's AC.

Well I suppose thats what happens when, they just port a game & don't really advertise it properly.???

Not suprising. It wasn't drastically upgraded (and they took out a few things) and most everybody who wanted the game already owns it on Dreamcast. Looks like Sega's being cheap for money, trying to make it look like they have a more expansive line-up for all 3 systems, or they're just trying to buy time before their made-for-GC-specifically games come out.

let's watch it in February.

And sonic 2 is one of the highest selling gamecube games...for reasons I cant understand...fortunately, sonic team is running out of games to port, pretty soon Gamecube will be getting new content,

maybe if they actually shipped enough copies of it for people to buy, they would have sold more.. I couldn't get it anywhere.

it says exclsive ont the box, and there were pots on the way for xbox and ps2, but sega stopped production on them......i think that if there is another skies of arcadia, it will be on the cube again......i dont think there will be another one for a while though.
