Pornography produced in the UK was quietly censored today through an amendment to the 2003 Communications Act, and the measures appear to take aim at female pleasure.

The Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014 requires that video-on-demand (VoD) online porn now adhere to the same guidelines laid out for DVD sex shop-type porn by the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC).

Seemingly arbitrarily deciding what is nice sex and what is not nice sex, the board's ruling on 'content that is not acceptable' (p.23) effectively bans the following acts from being depicted by British pornography producers:

Spanking

Caning

Aggressive whipping

Penetration by any object "associated with violence"

Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)

Urolagnia (known as "water sports")

Role-playing as non-adults

Physical restraint

Humiliation

Female ejaculation

Strangulation

Facesitting

Fisting

The final three listed fall under acts the BBFC views as potentially "life-endangering".

My country embarrasses me. This is beyond disturbing.

PS- The Independent's lying to put a feminist spin on it, of course. Female ejaculation isn't really banned.

If people stopped using porn, we wouldn't need to ban anything. Easy solution, lol.

No more old man dressing up in a nappy pretending to be a baby then.

Does anyone actually pay for porn though it's everywhere all over the internet and for free if you really want to see it.

noo, monicaaaa

no more 'life-endangering' face sitting!- that rules out:

All those face sitters behind their keyboards are going to have to take this to the outside of parliament and capitol hill and send online petitions on re-categorizing what is meant by face sitting and hugging and what is love making and aggressive sex. This is going to divide face huggers everywhere.

OK so pissing is banned but shitting isn't. You can still shit on someone's face and eat it in porn in the UK. Apparently they endorse it.

I like how verbal abuse is banned. Did the kindergarten kids who get picked on by bullies make some of these rules up?

In a direct answer to your second clause- yes

Were run by ninconpoops- by the way there is alot of ninconpoops in congress and the senate also. Congress, Lords, Senate, Parliament, MP's gatherings, councils. Its the kindergarten kids using corrupt corporation hawks to fuck the population in retaliation for kindergarten. I heard it first hand from a Managing director when I was working in the city.

I think government should be an online portal, and we the people should be paid to examine bills anonymously (selected in a similar fashion as persons selected for jury service but with larger service pools and not demographically biased), away from corrupt regulators, legislators, PR, and lobbyists.

This law is not about PORN, its about censorship and control in the guise of a porn order.

The worst thing would be to depose the very concept of government- that would be a mistake with tragic consequences- its the financial power holders that always find a miraculous way to re install puppets as leader and pawn them off a dutiful and competent administrators. That should never have a chance to happen again

The worst one is censoring female ejaculation- isn't that sexist and saying that a woman's only job is to satisfy a man?
Considering how hard it is for 70 percent of women to ejaculate or orgasm, I would suggest the law is trying to hide the denial of many women (maybe a few miserable politicians) in a skewed culture of sexuality who feel shamed at not being able to ejaculate or orgasm during direct intercourse. There's nothing wrong with not being able to ejaculate during intercourse Read Shere Hites: the Hite reports for national wide surveys of sexual intercourse by women. I think its a thought crime to prevent people having such fantasies however, Its like imagining oneself as the worlds most awesome quarter back or footballer and scoring the perfect goal.
