I bought Witcher in Steam and it is the last fucking time I buy a pc game. They just never duxking work. I'm so sick of it. I HATE PC gaming. The games never just bloody work. The game is riddled with constant stuttering. Over it. Totally over it.

I never had a single problem with on my 2009 machine. :P Sorry it didn't work for your machine.

Yeah, it's not Witcher, it's just fucking PC games, I don't know what it is. But it really, really irks me. Then again, I'm running a late '09 Mac, so ya know. But STILL.

Macs, even running Windows, aren't really gaming machines. I'm not even sure if the Mac GPU in your Mac Pro even has Windows drivers if Apple didn't provide them for you through Boot Camp.

Oh, no. It's through Steam, it's like actually for Mac. The Mac version.

Wow, I had no idea they ported it over to OSX.

I think Witcher 2 is there as well.

Wow...my brain is on full retard right now. I thought we were talking about The Witcher 2 this whole time. I think it's time for me to go to bed. :(

I'm more worried about the combat system than the graphics.

witcher 2 swordplay combat was pretty boring.

Hah, its pretty obvious its your computer that's causing the stuttering. Unless you had a Mac Pro Desktop you don't have the system requirements for the Witcher.

Ni No Kuni kinda bored me...so I'm gonna start up the Witchers series while waiting for Last of Us to go down in price. Here I go....

I'm jelly...the new Haswells intel chips makes me drool! If I upgraded anything for my rig this year, it'd be my vid card. Still rocking a 460 gtx 1gb. I will get 770 gtx 2gb ...probably for Christmas. It was between a new vid card or a PS4. Vid card wins! I'm running a Phenom X4 970, 16gb, and win7...maybe win8.1 if the new patch is decent. PC gaming can be an expensive hobby...le sigh.

**edit** Damn you, Spider! Got my upgrade itch tingling...I bit the bullet and just bought a new processor...AMD FX 8350. No where near as nice as your future Haswell, but it's the best bang for my bucks on my AM3+ board. More money....le sigh!

muwhahhah, I've been saving a lot of cash for this computer. I'm even going to get a awesome large case for it so I won't have any problem fitting all the junk in it.

But, it's only expensive if you want top of the line, the PC I am on now I got when all the parts were on sale back then and only cost me around 600 dollars. It's the 3D card that gets you, if you have a decent enough card I would just keep it for now and reuse it.

I have the 560 ti right now, but I'm in the mood for something more than that, which is why for the first time in my life since I'm going to be getting lots of extra cash from selling things this year I'm going to impulse buy on the 780, I use my computer a lot so it won't bother me in the end. But if I didn't have the cash, I would have just swapped out video cards and save a lot of cash.

the 560 ti would actually run better with the new rig then it does on this computer, and the version I got with the 560ti came with this monster heatsink, it was actually hard to fit in my computer. But I can overclock it by another 60% with the way it's set up. But, I already have a buyer for it :D

It can be. We're not building Dells here, even though they cost less, so I guess that analogy blows ass. ;)

Also, I've seen some people put up amazing theoretical builds for pretty cheap:

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Cvd
-AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core
-MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB
-Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

I was going to get a new bluray writer, cause there are faster ones out there, but I decided to just keep my old one to save on the cash. It's 10x writer from LG, but it has this awesome feature of whatever the speed that the discs write at, it will double it. So a 6x disc will write at 10x speeds. So a 12x writer would write at 12x.

Wherever you can save the cash by reusing parts is always the best idea. I want a bigger tower tho, I hate the mid size ATX towers, never enough room in them for me.

Well, you're big, furry, and purple with stubby fingers...those mid ATX ain't gonna big enough for yah. Super huge ATX for you...or lay off the cheeseburgers.
