Sounds like a great way to really jump-start that epilepsy.

Distract people from the fact that developers keep recycling the same garbage over and over again by adding a projector. Wonderful.

Motion control. Touch-screen. Eye-Toy. Kinect. 3D. DLC. Speaks for itself, really.

Seems like a interesting idea wouldn't mind giving it a go.

Think it would get really annoying after a while. I think I'll always just enjoy my games the old fashion way. No motion gimmicks, no 3D and none of this bullshit. :p

Same here...but I wouldn't mind more immersion. I think as I've gotten older, it's getting harder for me to get my head into a game. So I would definitely welcome something like this or the Oculus Rift if I find myself more immersed while playing. God damn nagging wife, demanding kids, bills, and a damn dog that shits itself if he doesn't go for a walk ever few hours...fuck! So anything to help me escape!

Yeah, we know.

But seriously ; I don't think this kind gimmick will be a standard for gaming in the future.

Although I dig that Oculus Rift thing ....

It is pikmin being played NOT luigi mansion!

i find it ironic that i am the only one who can tell. lol

05-05-2013, 12:28 PM
Never said it was Luigi's Mansion he was playing just that it was on top of the pile of games.

05-05-2013, 06:40 PM
I couldn't even tell that it was luigi's mansion in from of the tv.

That's a gamecube right?

God, that looks like a jail cell. I guess you can use the Illumiroom to simulate a prison rape.

05-06-2013, 04:18 AM
Yeah the Gamecube controller was like a form of torture.

Hopefully this will just be an option. I see this Illumiroom thing being more of a distraction and hardly enhance the gaming experience.

I think it had the best analog stick. The fact that the frame of the analog stick was an octagon made it easy to do perfect diagonal motions and hold them. Something that is difficult with the circular frames.

The Z button was annoyingly shaped though. The disposition of the face buttons was actually intuitive and easier to use than the regular ones we have today, but people were too used to them to accept change.

Personally though, i still prefer the SEGA style 6 face button controllers. Playing street fighter with 4 face buttons is an exercise on patience nowadays. The game was made for arcade and 6 button controllers. Actually its weird how Capcom or a third party dont release such controllers with the L1 and L2 as face buttons instead of shift ones.

My perfect controller would have the GC controller left analog stick with a less pronounced octognonal frame on both sticks (maybe a 16 side form), 6 face buttons like the Mega drive and Saturn controllers and 2 triggers like the 360 controller and a D-pad like the dual shock.
If someone made that controller i'd be all over their console. I wouldnt mind 2 extra shift buttons like the dual shock, but some might think its too many buttons.

I guess the closest to it was the Saturn Nights controller. It was too big though.

I guess compared to the N64 yeah it was pretty good.

Yep. I personally liked it over the Wiimote if there was an option to choose between the two. I kept two to use with PC emulators. The C-hat eventually went wonky on one of them...but otherwise, definitely solid controllers.

Hey if thats jail, lock me up and throw away the key baby.....I would need some porn though....and the game on the screen looks like Lord of thunder, from the turboduo....(I should go dust off my turboduo...woot)
