F*** YES! After over 20 years the Boss song has finally been officially arranged!! This video is awesome.. it's like bringing back memories and creating something new at the same time, I will be counting down the days for this one... At first I thought the 'chibi' thing was really dumb, but the style actually looks decent in motion.. kind've like FF9.

it's actually the N64 graphics engine that's running FF3 on the DS

this is what the FF7 was going to look like on the N64 :P

That was actually just a tech demo of FF6 they made for the, at the time, "Ultra 64". Much how Sony made a tech demo of FF7 for the PS3.

I've actually seen the videos of those screens in action, it looked pretty neat, especially for it's time.

Also, had the N64 been capable (space-wise) of harboring FF7, it would look the same as it does on the PS1 (cutscenes most-likely excluded). Having a different publisher doesn't mean the developer has to submit to a certain atmosphere or style.

Looks ok. Wasn't too impressed with the boss' theme.

There's a point, Paper, at which you might need to stop.

Uh...those FFVI images are from a demo called Final Fantasy VI: The Interactive CG Game (http://www.lostlevels.org/200510/). While FFVII was in development for the N64DD at one stage, it had nothing to do with that demo and no media was ever released.

On topic, FFIII looks great, but whats with only one character being available? In the NES game you start off having all four characters.

It reminds me alot of final fantasy 9 graphics.

I'm sooooo looking forward to this game :D

Is it me or were those enemies really easy to beat? Those trolls were 1 hit kills and the dude only threw two atks and 1 offensive item to kill the boss...

The game looks good. Once I get another job I'll be picking it up, along with New SMB.

I honestly think he does it as a joke, he does it way too often for it not to be.

(Spoilers.. kind've)

The begining of the game is very very easy. Well actually the cave is very easy. Since the game relies heavily on changing your class, and you can't enable class changing until you beat the Turtle boss and touch the first crystal.

Also the boss is really dumbed down, since in the original game you have to fight him with a team of 4 (originally all 4 of the characters fall into the cave at the same time. It seems now only Luneth falls into it for character development reasons). Also the offensive item (arctic wind) is found in the cave specifically to beat the Turtle (inititally it still only took about 3 attacks and 2 Arctic Winds to kill him). If this game stays true to the NES version.. it will be much, much harder as you progress.

This game looks promising on the DS. The battle system seems kinda slow to me though. ~_~
