Online GBA play?

I was just thinking would it be possible to hook up one of your multi link GBA games and play online through the cube? Currently you can only have link cables a certain length I'm sure this is to maintain a steady link - but if perhaps there was some hardware/software that could keep the datastream stable it might be possible. Oh and if so...

I think some GBC titles could be played online via cellphones. I expect we'll see similar for GBA when 3G/DoCoMo goes international. Also, this is more likely than online play via GC since it would be cheaper.
