What is the Animatrix?

Look for the trailer for The Animatrix on the official site of The Matrix (www.thematrix.com).

BAsically, its a production they intend to release next year, 9 short stories based on the world of The Matrix, entirely animated (both cel and cgi) featuring at least 7 well known talents of animation:

Peter Chung (Aeon Flux)
Koji Morimoto (Memories)
Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust)
Takeshi Koike (DNA mecha designer)
Mahiro Maeda (Blue Submarine #6)
Square (Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within)
Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop)


After watching the trailer, you can certainly recognize the Square-produced short. It looks just like FF: Spirits Within. :p

What is the animatrix? -Something that will sell alot and deffently will be remembered in the animation world !

Animatrix looks amazing ! Got some good feelings about this and seeing all those wellknown people that is working on this .....can't wait for it ! it looks allready like a must see animation!!
