They gave a lot of good reviews last month.

ping pals isn't a game, why did they review it? It was built under the assumption picto-chat had to be bought, but it came so far along they said why not. I dunno who would buy it, I guess it's like those annoying playing card games, almost 0 development costs, so pretty much a low risk project.

how the hell did rouge agent get a 7.5, that game is garbage, it's so clunky. I played it at EB for 20 minutes and the controls were just horrible.

Is Prince of Persia: Warrior Within really a better game than Super Mario 64 DS?

Seeing as SM64DS's controls well suck beyond belief, and PoP:WW's controls feel a bit better and more fluid... yeah... plus I just enjoyed PoP:WW better gameplay wise... I don't really like the mainstreme savvy look of it... but the game itself is solid... Super Mario 64 DS, just feels like it could of been better implemented into the DS's control scheme.

I knew it. Nintendo had nothing better to do than to bite ass and recycle an old game for the DS launch lineup. They better not even THINK about doing anything similar with the Revolution.

Ping Pal (NDS, THQ): 1.5 / 0.0 / 0.0

See this is why I don't read EGM anymore. Someone at that firm needs to be kicked in the throat.

But if that's the case, I give the PS2 GUI a .5! Xbox gets a 3! Dreamcast gets a 2.1! and Gamecube gets an 8 because it's swirly.

Fucking morons.

Stupid question of the Week: What is Ping Pal?

The Dreamcast is swirly. The Gamecube startup is definitely aimed at 3 year olds. Especialy with that "Challenge Everything" whispery "Gaaameee ccuuuuube" one.

Ping pals is basically a chat program similar to picto-chat. It was released in the non-understanding that picto-chat was built into the DS. It's not a game.

Who cares about reviews? EGM could go **** themselfs and I wouldn't care about it. I play what I want to play.

SM64DS have great control, don't lie to other members
and not because you don't know how to play that dose not mean that every game have bad control

Nice of you to say that Paper, but the controls on the ds version of Mario 64 could have been much better. Thier not dog ass poor like Ren said, but don't go defending the game like it's the best thing in the world.

Man the comments in these EGM review threads always crack me up. One person decided to waste a whole post just to say "I hate EGM". Amazing. As for Ping Pals, it didn't have to be released, but it was. Therefore it is fair game for review. Rating a piece of software released by a 3rd party is not like rating the PS2's GUI. Now if THQ came out with a PS2 disc called GUI Pals that let you access PS2 memory cards and set the date on your system, etc, then THAT would be worthy of a poor rating.

I don't know where THQ has been living, but I have always been under the impression that Pictochat came with the DS (didn't know it was built-in to the actual system until I bought it, though). It would be far cheaper for THQ to simply not release this game (yes it is a game, read the review), cut their losses and file for a tax break than to manufacture a butt-load of carts, boxes and pay for distrubution, hoping that retailers like EB will actually want to sell it.
