Here are some new images of the launch event of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan and long lineups at various places overnight before launch. The launch party takes place at Shibuya Tsutaya at 7AM, music composer Ozawa Kazutaka, producer Yoshinori Kitase, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada, theme song singer Yuri Sugawara, and Morning Musume artist Maomi Yuuki were at the party. There were about 350 people lining up in front of Shibuya Tsutaya before 7AM.
For other locations, Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara had around 150 people lining up, there seems to be more people when Dragon Quest IX was released in July. The Ikebukuro Bic Camera had about 350 - 400 people lining up before 7AM, with the first guy in the queue started lining up at 9:45PM the night before, he said he wanted to get the PS3 Lightning Edition.
