Capcom will release Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan on February 18, 2010 for 4980 yen. The game will have two new episodes, motion controller support (PS3 only), new costumes and new playable characters. A new Mercenaries Reunion Mode will be added to the game, which will have 8 playable characters. The game will also be available on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live for download:
- Extra-Episode 1 (Feb 18) - 500 yen for PS3, 400 yen for Xbox 360
- Extra-Episode 2 (Mar 04) - 500 yen for PS3, 400 yen for Xbox 360
- Costume Pack 1 - 200 yen for PS3, 160 yen for Xbox 360
- Costume Pack 2 - 200 yen for PS3, 160 yen for Xbox 360
