Bandai Namco announced Ridge Racers 2 for PSP will be released in Japan
on September 14, 2006, for 5040 yen. The sequel to the popular PSP racing game. This time
the game will have a total of 42 courses, including 24 courses from the Ridge Racer
series, including Ridge Racer Revolution, Rage Racer and R4: Ridge Racer Type 4; plus 18
scudding and mirror courses not found in the series. There will be 54 car models from the
series, plus 8 special models not found in the previous works.
The Nitro system will be in the game, and a new Survival mode is added. The game also
support multiplayers using Ad Hoc mode, up to 8 players can battle over WiFi connection.
