Namco released new details on its latest PS2 RPG Tales of the
Abyss. The game will have a new Flex Range Linear Motion Battle
System (FR-LMBS); this time instead of dividing the battlefield in multiple
line (ML-LMBS in Tales of Legendia), you can move freely in the 3D battlefield (aka Free
Run), and attack the enemy at any degree you desired.
Five protagonists are revealed so far:
Mieu - a child of the Qigul clan, who can speak human
language
Anise Tatlin - a 13 year old girl, a puppet retainer
from Lauray organization. She uses a puppet named Tokunaga to battle.
Jade Curtiss - a 35 year old troop colonel in Markt
Empire, who is also a necromancer.
Luke Fone Fabre - a 17 years old swordsman, the son of
the noble duke of the Kimlaska Kingdom.
Tear - 16 years old girl, who is a knight of the Lauray
religious organization, she has the power to use the Seventh Phoneme.
