- D3 Publisher announced the PSone classics Simple 1500 Series will be coming to PlayStation Store starting on March 10 in Japan, each game will be 300 yen (US$3), and they can be played on both PS3 and PSP. On PSP the games are for one player, on PS3 the games can be played by multiple players (if supported). Four titles will be available initially:

- Square Enix has sold approximately 290,000 units of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 and 160,000 units for Xbox 360 on the launch day in US yesterday. - Sting announced Blaze Union: Story to Reach the Future for PSP, a fantasy tactical simulation RPG which resembles Yggdra Union.
- UNCONFIRMED: Japanese retail reported that Sony will end shipment of its less popular Bright Yellow PSP-3000 model in Japan this month.

- Viacom officially confirmed that Rock Band 3 will be coming out this holiday season. The game will be published by MTV Games and distributed by EA.
- EA announced a new fantasy RPG called Project Mercury for PS3 and Xbox 360, which is being developed by Big Huge Games, a subsidiary of 38 Studios. The game will be led by the designer of Elder Scrolls III Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
- Cing Incorporation, the developer of Nintendo's Another Code series, Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Little King's Story, have filed bankruptcy with debts of 256 million yen (US$2.8 millions).
- Valhalla Game Studios' head Tomonobu Itagaki mentioned that the studio's first game is for HD consoles, which is PS3 and Xbox 360.
- Infinity Ward mentioned that there are 25 million users who played Modern Warfare 2 across the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

- Sega announced they will release a download expansion to its popular PSP rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva, which allows you to play the game on the PS3 directly; more details to follow.
- RUMOR: Japanese retailer reported that Sony will release a new PS3 model CECH-2100A, which will have a slight reduction in weight from 3.2kg to 3.0kg. The new model is expected to ship in this month.
- Sony is working on a firmware update for the PS3 to support 3D games and movies, no PS3 hardware update will be required, but you need to have a 3D-TV.
- In an interview with John Hight from Sony's Santa Monica studio, he mentioned that the development cost of God of War III is estimated US$44 millions or 3.9 billion yen.
- Sony confirmed there is a shortage of PS3 consoles in North America, as more high profile titles being released in march. The company is working with retail partners to meet the demand, but expect the shortage to last a bit longer.
- Square Enix confirmed that the North America version of Final Fantasy XIII will include a secret in-game item that can be redeemed online, and you also have a chance to become a beta tester for Final Fantasy XIV with the campaign code bundled with the game.
